Welfenkönig takes Tierce Handicap in Longchamp 
Soldier Hollow-son Welfenkönig took a highly competitive Tierce Handicap at Longchamp racetrack in France yesterday. After 2000 m on heavy track, the four-year-old was two lengths in front under jockey Umberto Rispoli and recorded a convincing victory for his German owner Erich Schwaiger and trainer Mikel Delzangles.

Welfenkönig was bred by renowned German stud Gestüt Röttgen out of the Königsstuhl-mare Well Known, who is also the dam of Gr.1 winner Well Made (Mondrian).
