| Laeyos takes upper handicap |
| Following a six-months-break from racing, Soldier Hollow’s Laeyos was able to turn his first outing into a victory, taking a €22,500 level 1 handicap at Düsseldorf racetrack today. Schiergen stable jockey Andrasch Starke had the six-year-old settle midfield and took him to task with two furlongs to go, so after 1400 meters the pair had secured a 1 1/2-lengths win. Laeyos is owned by Haus Zoppenbroich stud and was bred by Ina Zimmermann out of the Listed winner Laeya Star (Royal Dragon). | ||
