What a filly! Today, three-year-old Serienholde put up a thrilling fight to take the Listed-level BMW Preis Düsseldorf (€25,000) on a very heavy turf at Duesseldorf Grafenberg. However, before they were allowed to celebrate, the Soldier Hollow-filly and her jockey Eduardo Pedroza had to overcome a scary moment at the start when the filly landed on her knees breaking and lost a good amount of ground to the rest of the field. This, however, did not stop her. She recovered quickly and after 2,100 meters was announced winner for trainer Andreas Wöhler.
Wittekindshof stud’s Serienholde stems from the very successful dam line of Salde and, with this performance, should have reinforced her top position among the favorites for this year’s German Oaks. |
