Our Soldier Hollow-son Wilder Wein delivered an impressing performance in the 92th running of the Junioren-Preis at Düsseldorf racetrack today. In this €25,000 trial to the championship race for two-year-olds next month, the colt found himself in great company over the mile. Coming from off the pace, Wilder Wein’s jockey Adrie de Vries’s took the big colt through the pack and secured a victory by a length at the wire.
Wilder Wein was bred by Lore Zieger-Dickerhoff out of the Turtle Island-mare Wind In Her Hair. Heumar-based Markus Klug prepares the colt, who has a standing nomination for the Gr.3 Preis des Winterfavoriten next month. |
