Today, the derby crop met to warm up for greater challenges at Krefeld racetrack whereby Horst Pudwill's Soldier Hollow-son SHANJO cut a fine figure once more and verified the bettors' trust in all respects. Markus Klug's stable jockey Adrie de Vries took the colt to task early in the final turn, and soon the pair had put several lengths between themselves and the rest, which worked in Shanjo's favor since he displayed some immaturity down the stretch.
In the end, the impressive looking colt recorded a confident win by five lengths feeding hopes for the next outings, which will certainly demand a bit more from him as Shanjo has standing nominations for the G3 Ittlingen Derby-Trial and the G2 Oppenheim-Union. |
