DIANA STORM targets German Oaks (G1)
Park Wiedingen-bred DIANA STORM (Soldier Hollow - Divya) is one of four three-year-old fillies who stand a solid chance to make their sire Soldier Hollow proud in the upcoming 159th running of the classic German OAKS. The filly with the name that suits the German title of this classic, which is "Preis der DIANA," races in the silks of Grafenberg Stables. She will be accompanied by Roettgen Stud's champion 2yo WELL SPOKEN (Soldier Hollow - Well American), Auenquelle Stud's GONDORA (Soldier Hollow - Gondola) and the runner-up of the champion-2yo-race PEMINA, who starts for owners David and Hans-Peter Schön, in competing over 2200 m for the €500,000 prize money at Duesseldorf racetrack on Sunday afternoon.

The drawings for the gate numbers assigned the outer gates to the fillies. Thorough rainfall in the Rhine delta this week leaves the ground to be expected "good to soft," a fact that will certainly not hurt any of the ladies. Following is a list of the four runners with starting gate numbers in parantheses.

4 WELL SPOKEN/Roettgen Stud/Markus Klug - Martin Seidl (15)
5 DIANA STORM/Grafenberg Stables/Waldemar Hickst - Marc Lerner (16)
11 PEMINA/David u. H.P. Schön/Jens Hirschberger - Alexander Pietsch (14)
15 GONDORA/Auenquelle Stud/Roland Dzubasz - Bauyrzhan Murzabayev (10)
