CALICO is the first winner for our three-time champion sire SOLDIER HOLLOW in 2021. The Fahrhof-bred, who was a three-time winner in Germany last year and was sold to the UK after his fourth-place finish in the 136th St. Leger (G3), had an impressive first outing in his new profession when he produced a confident win by four and a half lengths on heavy going in the Novice Hurdles over 3200 metres at Ludlow.
The five-year-old is now owned by John Reilly and in training with Dan Skelton, who is likely to prepare the SOLDIER HOLLOW son for better tasks. |
