Two-year-olds met for a contest in today's €52,000 BBAG Auction Race at Düsseldorf over 1400 metres, including two progeny of our three-time champion sire SOLDIER HOLLOW: POSTMAN and MISTER HOLLOW. And both colts played a promient role in the final stages of the race.
In a fast-pace race POSTMAN, trained by Markus Klug for owners Stall Simply Red, proved fighting spirit under Andrasch Starke and won by three quarters of a length after kicking off from the midfield and jumping away in the last half furlong. Two lengths behind was MISTER HOLLOW, who ultimately finished third. Leon Wolff was in the saddle for owner Hermann Schröer-Dreesmann and trainer Henk Grewe. |
